🏠 3 things you MUST check before renting an apartment in Krakow
I’ve been working in real estate since March and I’ve seen several situations where people signed a contract… and regretted it.
Here’s what I always advise to check:
1️⃣ Utilities – separate meters or flat rate?
Flat rate sounds convenient, but often costs more. Especially in winter in old buildings.
2️⃣ What exactly is in a “furnished apartment”?
For some it’s a bed and wardrobe. For others it’s a fully equipped kitchen. Make a list.
3️⃣ Deposit – how is it secured?
Don’t transfer to the landlord’s account without a contract. Should be in a separate deposit or clearly stated in the contract.
May seem obvious, but half of disputes are about exactly these points.
