Start 8 weeks before moving out. Sounds absurd? The Kowalskis started 2 weeks before. Effect? Night packing, lost documents, damaged devices. Overpaid moving company by 3 thousand for express mode.
Week 8-6: Selection. This is hardest stage. From 90m² to 50m² you won’t move everything. Rule of three piles: keep, sell, throw away. Clients from Bronowice earned 15 thousand selling furniture they didn’t need.
Week 5-4: Moving company. Not first from OLX. Check reviews, insurance, experience. Good company costs 2-4 thousand for 50m². But worth it. Professionals pack delicate items better than you.
Week 3-2: Systematic packing. Room by room. Labeled boxes. “Kitchen – glasses” will save hours when unpacking. Photos of box contents on phone – brilliant patent from Kazimierz client.
Last week: Formalities. Registration, electricity, gas, internet. Long list but manageable. Pro tip: Do it Thursday. Friday offices are besieged.
Moving day: Survival backpack. Documents, medicines, chargers, change of clothes, toilet paper. Sounds funny? The Wiśniewskis searched for toilet paper in 50 boxes at 11 PM.
First 24 hours in new: Don’t unpack everything. Bed, bathroom, kitchen. Rest can wait. Order pizza. You deserved it.
Biggest mistake? “It’ll work out somehow”. It won’t. Chaos breeds chaos. Plan breeds calm.
